The Outsiders
is a book about true friendship and brotherhood. This group of kids is called the Greasers who are good friends. That take care of one another when they are hurt or going through tough times. The main character is Ponyboy Curtis. His brothers are Sodapop and Darrel (also known as Darry and Soda).  Ponyboy and his brothers live in a not so good part of town, and they’re friends Johnny, Dally and Two-bit. As for the other side of town- the rich side, is where the Socials live (also known as the Socs). Bob is the leader of this group. He is very rebellious and so is the group. The Greasers have to watch their backs and the others so they don’t get jumped.

The Outsiders is one of the best books with action. It is awesome! When I had to read this book at school I wasn’t happy at all because it looked so, so, so boring, until I read the first page I was addicted. This book also has a lot of cliff hangers so I kept on getting caught in them and I have to tell you I hate reading but then I read this book and it changed my reading habits. S.E Hinton paints really good pictures in your mind. She describes everything so good it feels as though you’re there. Doing everything with the Greasers. I also was jumping up and down sometimes because it’s so exciting.

I recommend this book to anybody that likes action and true friendship. There is also a lot of action. But there is an age limit probably like about 10 and up I would recommend this book to, because there is a lot of action and stuff that little kids would probably not understand or like all that well. But if you like all this stuff that I mentioned and your younger then 10 then try reading it you might just like it.
