Stephenie Meyer has written Twilight, a book that has swept no only the nation but also the whole world. My opinion on this book is that it was pointless and a waste of time to read. Through the eyes of Bella Swan you will see her life of falling in love with a mystical creature… a vampire, Edward Cullen to be exact. Edward is a dreamy vampire that has to resist Bella so he won’t try to suck her blood. Later Edward realizes he likes Bella and they get together. But with Edward being a vampire will they be able to stay together?

You go through this book in Bella’s eyes. You see all that happens between her, Edward, and all of her friends. You experience the trouble of being in love with a vampire and going through all of the adventures from being ignored and hated by the one you love (Edward) To having him feel the same way… in love and having to keep quiet about his secret and learning all of his powers.

The love was hardly seen—it was about a girl who complained about her perfectly fine life and a vampire who is fairly annoying and all about himself. The plot was hard to find because the different chapters were scattered I didn’t understand what they wanted me to know. It’s too much of another trashy version of Harry Potter that didn’t turn out well. It’s only because this is about “beautiful” Edward Cullen girls are reading it. I didn’t enjoy this book because of the slow going chapter. It seemed to take an hour to get through one chapter.

I don’t think it is easy to call it a romance book. There were few action and romance parts and the rest of the 498 pages were complaints about Bella’s life. To me it stuck out as just plain boring. You hear about her love for him; it’s just “Oh yeah I saw Edward today.” I just couldn’t understand why people loved it so much. The ending was sappy it wasn’t anything special that would make me want to read the rest of the saga. I had to stop after this book. I couldn’t waste the money of another whiney sappy love story that is poorly written.
