The Host
is an exciting love story that goes terribly wrong. Mel, a regular human being gets caught up in Wanda's (a "spirit’s") body. Wanda thinks that she has this body to herself when Mel starts to talk to her through her mind! Wanda wants her out so she can have her body to herself but there's no way to get her out. When Mel starts to think of her lost boyfriend, Jared, too much, Wanda starts to get a craving for this human boy.

During the time Wanda is in Mel's body they form a bond together but when Wanda meets Jared face to face she falls instantly in love. Will Mel and Wanda keep their connection together or will the love of Jared break them apart?

To make things more complicated, Wanda has enemies, the “healers”- are trying to kill her and Mel. Will the healers finally catch up with Mel and Wanda? Or will they get caught?

The Host to me is a love story that just can't work out and I love stories like that. I like how there’s jealousy and fighting over a boy or how Jared wants Mel to have her body back and Wanda feels sad because she wants Jared to love her.

I love this story because there is action, love, excitement, and any other emotion you usually don’t get in one story. I think this book is for more adults or teenagers because it has some violence in it. This story had me hooked from the beginning to the end! I love how The Host is not a book you usually find on the shelf, I like that guy's and girls can read this story and really
enjoy it!
