The Outsiders is an action packed gang assembled story about a boy named Ponyboy whose life is about loyalty and courage. Ponyboy tells about his life from his point of view. If you like action then you will definitely like this book. It will have you on the edge of your chair when fights come up.

The story begins when Ponyboy gets out from a movie theater and he tells about his family and friends when he spots a red Corvair following him.  When the red Corvair pulls up it’s the Socials.

“Need a haircut greaser?” one asks. Action as soon as you start reading the book. If that’s not something then I don’t know what action is. Later in the book Johnny, Ponyboy’s best friend, gets in trouble for killing Bob, the leader of the Socs. Some of the main characters are Sodapop, Darry, Dally, Johnny, Cherry, Two-bit, and Ponyboy

Later another character named Dally is running, The police are behind him when he stops and pulls out a gun “POW POW” There is a dead silence.

I like this book because the author put a lot of thought into this book and detail. Like how Johnny got in the and how he was hurt in the fire. The author did a great job making it. Not most books have much of a background like when Ponyboy and Johnny where at the abandoned Church. That’s why I like it so much.
